I've been watching a lot of films lately. I must've seen over 20 films since Christmas. So here are some I've seen in the last few days...

Happy Feet (Oscar nominee)
Hmm, I didn't really like this film, even though I adore animated films. I'm usually not annoyed by singing, but there was too much singing in this one. Too much unrequired singing, I guess. I was also bothered by the whole thing that the reason why Mumble couldn't sing might have been because his father dropped the egg. I did like Lovelace though! Actually, Robin Williams was the best part of this film! :D And the animation was wonderful. So, yeah. I won't exactly recommend it, but just say that it was okay. :P
My grade (1 to 5): 2

Frostbite (Sw. Frostbiten)
Woohoo, a Swedish vampire film! The first Swedish vampire film!!! :D The tagline is: "Dawn is just a month away." LOL. Anyway, the film takes place in the North of Sweden, in the winter, when it's dark all day. And there are vampires... speaking Swedish! :D I was really surprised by this film. It was quite good. The special effects were good, and the story too. I didn't expect it to be brilliant, and it wasn't, but it was incredibly entertaining. I mean - Swedish-speaking vampires in Norrland!!! :D You know you want to see it! Oh, and for all of you who don't speak Swedish: there are English subtitles, and they are very good. ;)
My grade: 3+ (+ because it was silly)

The Prestige (Oscar nominee)
An okay film and really well-made. The plot was interesting enough, but it got slow at times. I didn't really like the twist in the end. Not because it wasn't good, or anything like that, it's just that thinking about it after the film didn't really make me go: "Oooh, so that's what was going on!" It didn't "wow" me. The thing that bothers me the most about the film, though, was the tagline: "A Friendship, That Became a Rivalry...A Rivalry, That Became a Battle." What friendship? There was never any friendship. At least I didn't understand it as that. But otherwise, it was an okay film to watch. :)
My grade: 3

Little Miss Sunshine (Oscar nominee)
An excellent film. The story was both tragic and hillarious at the same time. The cinematography was wonderful, and the ending was brilliant! I have no complaints. :D
My grade: 4+

Animal
Short summary: A scientist is trying to cure the violence in people.
There haven't been many films that I've stopped watching in the middle of them. I usually watch them till the end even if they're bad. I mean, I watched The Celestine Prophecy till the end and that was bad. And I mean really bad. At least that film was fun to watch because I could mock it. But this film was just plain boring. I couldn't stand it. It was going nowhere. I gave up after about 45 minutes. Okay, the guy who played the serial killer was good. But all the others... meh. I did watch the last few minutes though, to see the ending, and I wasn't really impressed by it. Were they trying to say that women are attracted to violent men? That they just love being choked during sex? Actually, it was quite offensive. BOO!!!
My grade: -7

Jesus Camp (Oscar nominee)
Am I creeped out? Yes, I am. That is all. O_O
My grade: It's difficult to grade documentaries, so I won't. :P

Should I continue with these film "reviews"? Is anybody interested in them? :P
