[1] If you haven't seen it yet, Deathly Hallows cover art can be seen here. It makes me think of Terry Pratchett book covers. :P One thing it tells us is that a house-elf will be involved. My guess is anybody but Kreacher, because who in their right mind would give him a sword. :P And I guess the adult version cover art destroys the theory that Slytherin's locket is the one they once found while cleaning Grimmauld Place. There were no stones mentioned then. Anyway, oulangi wrote a long interesting post about the covers. :D

[2] redpiratemel has a "DH cover art gives us...nothin" Art Challenge. If nothing else, at least you can go laugh at the art people have made for it, because it's hilarious. :D Some of them are linked to in the comments. Here are some funny ones (some made for the challenge, and some not): just hangin' by anguin34, invisible groapz and feelz by sinick, and what I called Harry running a victory lap by janicechess. LOL! :D

[3] Possibly too late, but hallowed_goats has a crack theory contest based on the cover art for DH. The submissions were due, umm, a couple of minutes ago. But Americans aren't too late yet, hehe. :P

[4] hd_holidays is compiling a beta resource list and need people to sign up. :)

I watched 300 tonight. ... It was a disappointment. I thought it was boring. I couldn't really get into it. :/ I didn't think the visuals were that impressive either, and the narrating voice was incredibly annoying. I thought it would be better if they tried to translate what the narrator was saying (things about glory, etc.) into picture instead of telling us. Maybe they didn't know how, so they instead had somebody telling the story. But what he was saying made me laugh sometimes, which I guess wasn't what they were trying to do. :P Also, I at least thought there'd be some nice semi-nude men in the film, but they were all incredibly muscular. Eww. :P And the music in the film was annoying as well - rock music doesn't make fight scenes cool, it just makes them lame. All in all, the film was too "macho" for me. So, yeah. Disappointing. :| I don't understand why everyone was so excited about it...
