hd_holidays: The Last Hurrah recs #2
Here are the recs from the second week of
hd_holidays. I've also already read the third week, so expect those tomorrow (or maybe on Saturday). :D
~*~*~*~
17 June - 23 June
~*~*~*~
All in the Cards (NC-17) by Anon.
Length: ca 12,000 words
Summary: "A tale of love and heartbreak told in five vignettes." Warnings: Angst, character death.
My notes: You know I usually avoid fics with character death in the warning, but you really should read this story. It's both funny and sad at the same time. But not too sad. :)
The fine line between then and now (PG-13) by Anon.
Length: ca 14,500 words
Summary: "What if everything changed and you didn’t know how to make it right again?"
My notes: This fic deals with time-travel in a bit different way. It's both a time-travel and an AU fic, and it deals with the consequences of time-travel (and about fixing those consequences). I'm hoping the author will write a sequel. :P
In Which Harry Potter Discovers a River in Egypt (NC-17) by Anon.
Length: ca 23,500 words
Summary: "A missing roommate, a mysteriously familiar male prostitute, murdered Muggles, and an angry boss are all making life difficult for Auror Harry Potter. And that’s before he discovers that the reason he’s avoided having girlfriends for three years is not only because he doesn’t like publicity."
My notes: I loved this fic! It's a really entertaining Auror-fic with great secondary characters. :D
Pret-a-Partenaire (NC-17) by Anon.
Length: ca 20,000 words
Summary: "Of all the sandwich joints in London, he had to walk into Harry's."
My notes: In which Draco steals Harry's sandwiches and explains the Starbucks conspiracy theory... LOL! Hilarious fic! :D
~*~*~*~
I'm certain I forgot a fic... I'll add it later when I remember which one it was. :P
