I come with the 6th batch of holiday exchange fic recs. :D The last community I've been following, hd_holidays, has finished posting the stories, so this is probably the last holiday rec post. I might post another after this with all of the fics with other pairings and some of the ones I've missed (although probably not). I'm already more than a week late with this post, so I won't promise anything. There's just too much to do for uni... :/

Gah, I've written this post really quickly. I wanted to post it yesterday (err, which ended about an hour ago), but I've had so little time... I can't help it! I've been keeping busy with my Christmas presents (lots and LOTS of books and NWN2). :D I probably should've written the recs right after I read the fics, as it would save me time, but, I'm too lazy and do everything at the last minute, so these will probably sound a bit confusing. :P

I didn't read as many fics this week as I did last week, because I've become obsessed with playing NWN2. It's incredibly fun, even though my wizard's familiar has turned out to be... a piglet... (it's too small to be called a pig). So, anyway, here is the next batch of holiday recs: 5 H/D and 3 H/S. I'll probably rec the ones I missed this week next week, plus a few other pairings. :D

I guess I'm incredibly bad at guessing. I'm certain I've read the authors of more than half the fics I've recced so far. They all seem familiar, but I can't name them. :D

Everybody seems to be reccing their favourite fics from all the holiday exchange fests right now, so I'm jumping on the bandwagon. Except that I'm too lazy to do it every few days, so I'll just do it once a week. Anyway, below are some of the best fics written for the various fests. I'm sure I've missed a couple. I haven't had time to read all of them, so there are only Harry/Draco and Harry/Snape fics there. I probably won't have time to read the rest until after New Year's... I am bookmarking them though. :)

The fics are from: harry_holidays, hd_holidays andmerry_smutmas. All posted between 1 December and 8 December. Are there any other fests I should be watching?

Ooooh, and look at this!!!!! It's the first half of the sequel to one of my favourite Harry/Snape fics, In Between Days. I actually squealed when I saw it! Unfortunately I noticed it in the middle of the night, so I haven't had time to read it yet, but I'm going to do that tonight. And I'm certain it'll be great! :D It's like an early Christmas present!!! YAY! :D

I have a cold, so I'm feeling icky. And since I know that there are several people on my f-list that are ill too, I thought I'd rec a few stories that are perfect for reading when you're ill. In all of them at least one of the main characters is ill, and they're all bound to make you laugh at least once.

Below you'll find three H/D fics, one R/S fics and one fic with Snape (that's not H/S, but you could read it as pre-slash). So there should be something for everyone. :D

The weather's been really crappy the last few days. It's cold and it keeps raining. The fact that it's getting darker every day (the sun set around 5pm today) really isn't helping my mood either. So the last week I haven't really been in the mood for reading anything else but stories where Harry (most of the time) leaves or becomes a recluse. Stories like The Lodger (mad_martha), All His Saints (setissma), Momenti Diversi (zarah5), Saison d'Être (cedarlibrarian), etc. Basically slow-paced stories and atmospheric stories.

So I've been wondering if there are any new stories like that around. Preferably stories that have been written in the last year, or stories that aren't that well known. There are plenty of adventures being written (horcrux hunt, war-time fics) and post-Hogwarts fics where Harry has a (somewhat) normal life. But have there been any stories written about him leaving, or being a bit depressed, or any stories the type mentioned above? Like I said, I'm in the mood for reading those type of stories, so I thought I'd ask. There must be someone on my f-list that knows any stories like that (preferably longish and ones that won't depress me too much). Anybody? :)
