:: About my art lists ::
I've moved all of my art lists to my Insanejournal, so from now on they can only be found there. I still left the posts on my LJ though, but I deleted all of the art links from there and just left a link to the lists on IJ instead. The updated links are below:

Please change your links if you have them. For those of you that are reading my journal on other journals - you won't miss anything if you're not reading my IJ. I'm going to make posts on LJ, etc, linking to IJ when I update the art lists or post more art recs.

From now on they can only be found on my Livejournal. It'd be just too much work to keep them updated on two or more journals... But, again, you're not going to miss anything if you're reading on other journals, because I'll crosspost all updates. :)

I've updated all of the lists, except the HBP-compliant ones (HP/DM, HP/SS). I don't think I'll ever update them again... Maybe some day, if I'll have time and if I'll feel like it. :P Anyway, recent updates:

:: Missing links ::
I checked all of the links on my art lists to see if all of them still worked, and to try and find off-LJ links. I've found that a couple of links don't work anymore, or are f-locked. Does anybody know where I could find working links? :) ( Missing / f-locked art )
Also, I still haven't found some of the fic links from my rec list. Here is the post with the missing fic links. Please go look and tell me if you know where I can find any of the fics. :)

I've finally managed to go through my entire rec list and checked which links still work and which don't. I haven't updated the links yet, but I will do that very soon. There are a couple of stories, though, which I can't find anymore. Does anybody know where I could find them? I've looked in various archives, and Googled for them, but I just can't find them.

I've been thinking about different fic categories for the past few days. Mainly because of ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) snarry_games, but also because I keep a rec list where I organise fics into different categories. The categories I've been thinking about are the wartime and postwar categories.
I've been asked a few times why I haven't divided the fics on my rec list into wartime and postwar categories too, as they seem to be quite popular categories. The reason why I haven't done it is because I sometimes find them confusing. ( I'll explain why they're confusing below. )

Does anybody know where I could find good quality Harry Potter screencaps (all 4 films)? Not just a picture here and there, but like they have it here. I've only been able to find screencaps from PoA, and I'd like other films too. :D

Edit - I know I can find screencaps at The Leaky, but not all of them are good quality. :/

[1] I'm still updating the HBP-compliant H/D list. There's almost 200 fics on it already. Maybe I should try to make it shorter... I don't remember what half the fics on it were about. Hmm, I'll have to think about that...
[2] A couple of weeks ago somebody was asking for a post-HBP Snarry list, and I volunteered, because I tend to hoard fic links. :/ I said it'd be done in a couple of days, but it took me three weeks (because I was lazy, and also because if I do something, I want it to look pretty :P). So, anyway, here it is. There's definitely a bunch of fics missing on it - I haven't had the time to add them. I'll do that next. Soon. Meaning before Christmas. :D
(Btw, I hope I didn't flood anybody's LJ. I backdated the entries, but you never know. Sorry if I did.)
[3] My boyfriend listened to the last two HP books. He wants to know where Draco got the Polyjuice from (in HBP). Did he order it, steal it from Slughorn, or made him himself? I'm leaning towards making it himself... Probably in the same bathroom Harry, Hermione and Ron made it in CoS. Moaning Myrtle seemed to have known him at least. :)

[5] A certain Mr L sign on somebody's journal reminded me of a jewellry store sign I took a photo of in Slovenia. It had me laughing all day.

I've been browsing through some of the stories nominated for The Sorting Hat, especially the categories that I don't normally read, and I started wondering... There are quite a few fics out there where Snape is Harry's father, but are there any where Snape is Harry's mother? Mpreg and Severitus combined, mwahahaha. And a chance to explore the Oedipal complex. o_O

I know it's probably a stupid question, but is there a significance to which name you put first in a pairing? For example, is there a difference between Snape/Harry and Harry/Snape? I've seen a few posts lately where people seem to think there is, but I'm not sure. For me it's only a way of organising fics. The most popular pairings out there have Harry in them, so I usually put his name last. It doesn't really have any meaning for me... it's just easier for me to find the pairings that way. So is there a difference?
Anyway, it's 2 am and I should probably go to bed. I've been starting to ponder what a strange word "ajar" is. Yup, definitely time for bed...

(ETA) Since there've been so many replies, I thought I'd organise them in a short list.
Which name comes first in a pairing can depend on:
* Whatever is more popular or common.
* Top or dominant characters go first, bottom or submissive characters last.
* Chaser/chased.
* The person from whose POV the story is told / the person who the story is about / more important characters go first.
* Characters are put alphabetically.
* Whatever sounds better. E.g. shorter names first, whatever creates a better "rhythm", etc.
