Does anybody know how to create animated images (icons) out of videos? Like, if you have a short video, and you want to capture a few seconds in it and make it into an icon... I have Photoshop if that helps. :)

I've tried looking on Google, but all I can find is how to make several images into one animated image. I'd be able to do that, but I need to know how to "extract" the images from video first. :/

A big THANK YOU to aldebaran1977 for my birthday present. I have hidden it in the back of the fridge, so I hopefully won't find it again until my birthday. And the card will make a great bookmark. It'll make reading boring policy books much more interesting. Err, I'll make sure none of my professors or classmates see it though. :P

So, the Eurovision Song Contest was tonight (or last night, as it's tomorrow right now). I didn't really watch it, just had it on in the background. It seemed to be the same as every year though. The same music. Is it just me or are the songs exactly the same every year? There are always 10 songs with the same beat every year - like one of those from the keyboards I played with as a kid, you know, those with pink buttons. And always the same "Westlife ballad" from the Irish. Really boring. There's never anything new (or good). And it's a bit depressing that most songs are sung in English. Especially when the translations are bad or completely different (*coughSweden*). And it's supposed to be a friendly competition and a celebration of culture (although I don't know if I'd count the Eurovision songs "culture"...). It's always fun to hear different languages, so it's kind of sad they feel the need to sing in English for people to like their songs.

The winners were kind of cool, I guess. In a creepy sort of way. Nice costumes anyway. And at least it wasn't a typical song that won. :) Yup. :D
